This is the year I am returning to my book-loving roots! I recently saw an ad that claimed the average CEO reads 60 books a year, and part of me was like, challenge accepted. So I want to develop a habit of reading again. I mean when I was a kid, books were my friends, the library was my home away from home. As an adult, the first thing I always did when moving to a new neighborhood was to get my library card. It’s like a passport, people. To encourage my new goal, I opened my Kindle library last night (okay, confession: I have about 700 non-fiction books in my library) and made a list of the books I want to start and finish this year. Finish being the keyword.
So in no particular order, here is what I plan to read this year:

This list is very ambitious! (Not saying it can’t be done by the way.) I noticed there’s no fiction listed. I’m just curious how you stay motivated to read so many non-fiction books. I read 80 books this past year, but maybe only 6 of them were non-fiction. I love books, but I seem to collect non-fiction that pile up in my nightstand. I can’t seem to motivate myself to read them.

Hi, Cori! Don’t know if you’ll see this comment, since the post is older, but I, too have resolved to read more in 2018 (something besides home school curriculum and teacher’s manuals!). Anyway, I’m making a
“Reading Log/Journal” from a regular ol’ composition notebook, but want to decorate it like your Commonplace Book. It will have a list of “Want to Reads” in the front with an index of favorite passages from books that I’ll write out. SO…… I’D LOVE TO SEE A COLLECTION OF READING/WRITING HONEYS, etc…stacks of books, glasses, typewriters, notebooks and pens, etc… if you haven’t done that already. What do you think??? Thanks for all you do!

ps- just heard about a new podcast called “Bible Binge” with Knox and Jamie that you might want to check out.
