Howdy Friends!
It’s a new year and we’re exciting to be highlighting more of our creative team members. This is a great way for you to get to know them and find out what inspires them. This month we’ve put the spotlight on Patty. We just adore Patty’s sense of humor and honesty. She’s fun, silly and always ready for a trip! Here’s what she wanted to share with our readers this month…
Hey everyone, Patty Radish here!
I’m writing from the beautiful, and rainy, Pacific Northwest. I live with my adoring husband of 34 years and a mischievous Min Pin named Lily. We are blessed with 3 grown children and a sweet, rambunctious, three year old grandson.
I have been a crafter of all sorts since childhood, and I think I have tried just about every craft there is, quilting being my foremost passion until I discovered art journaling. I started questioning the amount of quilts we were accumulating, because how many quilts can one use? …but now I’m having the same dilemma with art journals! And now your probably questioning the amount of planners you see …different dilemma. Onward…
A wise soul once told me “It’s important for your creative space to be inspiring” and I took it to heart. I fell in love with thrifting (or the thrill of the hunt) and have managed to collect all sorts of bits and bobs to fill my creative space. As you can see, vintage sewing boxes is an obsession. I use them to organize many crafts other than sewing notions.
I organize my current Reset Girl Collections in this vintage train case (ahem…another obsession). The tray is perfect for my “Paper Punch Buffet”; and all of my pens, pencil cases, tools, and journals fit perfectly underneath.
When it’s time to showcase a new Reset Girl collection, I move the previous collection into the little train case seen above. I organize into 5″x7″ photo keepers then label each one.
Although I still rely on my planners for lists and tracking, I started using this fabric covered foam core to put reminders and To Do lists on (it started with Camp Reset). This is my planning and crafting hub. I am in the middle of lots of projects and responsibilities, so having everything front and center is a must!
I’m happy to say that I discovered our wonderful Miss Cori of TheResetGirl when she was about 5 videos into her YouTube channel, and I was hooked! Her clean, classic and fun, retro brand was a breath of fresh air. Like many people have observed, watching her videos is like “Hanging out and crafting with your Bestie!”… and now we have the LNCC…swoon!
Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed this little trip through my quirky little space, I’ve enjoyed sharing it with you!
Talk to you soon, and be sure to find me in any of my social media outlets linked below.
~ Patty
