I missed you!
The Weekly Reset is back!
I had a laptop meltdown last month which took down my whole Reset opertation, but it gave me the opportunity to…well, reset. I haven’t got a new laptop set up yet, but I do have a temporary solution in the meantime. This week we are settling into our new digs in Northern California (aka my mom’s backyard). Our lady Liberty fits quite nicely and has all the hookups we need for our 2 month long stay. I have really missed my mom, and as we come up on the one year anniversary of my dad’s graduation to heaven, I am really glad to be home with her and my family. Now I live next to the best neighbor in the world! Check out how our girl is all snug now, and yes, that back window is what I look out of while I study or work.
And in case you didn’t see my mass email I sent out last week, here is the blog post version so you are all caught up with Reset world 🙂
The Weekly 5 Roundup
So I have been really thinking about the whole introvert vs. extrovert thing and seriously, I feel like it’s gonna be a major focus for me this year. Learning I was an introvert has been the biggest revelation of my life, and realizing my wiring makes me this way versus labeling myself weird, abnormal and strange was the key to embracing it. I want to keep helping other introverts discover this too. I have flown my introvert flag proudly on social media and it seems to be a big magnet for drawing more introverts to me. In fact, my last awesome event was almost entirely made up of crafty introverts! Do you know how you are wired? The gold star test for finding out is the classic Myers Briggs assessment, which you can take a free version of here or here. If you want to read more about it, this is their website. If you are an introvert like me, I started a board to celebrate introvert awesomeness, plus there are so many books now available to dig a little deeper. Don’t worry extroverts, I got you covered too.
Did you know you can print on sticky notes? I have been making some custom notes for my planner and wanted to share with you how simple it is. You can use this idea to make notes for your kids (or buy easy peasy templates!), to create a project management wall, or even for creating love notes for your sweetie. C’mon people, what can’t sticky notes do?
A year or so ago, I used to do Morning Pages each morning before I started my Bible time. I found myself writing more and feeling more creative throughout the day, but somewhere along the line I stopped. Recently I came across my notebook from that time, and it makes me want to take up the practice again. Want to join me? Also, I have been loving my God Time so much now that I have stepped up my game with some of these awesome ideas from my girl Brittney Moses.
Spring has sprung and right now we are all contemplating things to toss, organize and donate. This challenge may be just what you need to kickstart yourself into gear. I’m definitely in need of some decluttering and I love that this challenge allows you to pick and choose what days you declutter. I will be kicking off this challenge for myself on April 1 and sharing in the Happy Place Club if anyone would like to follow along with me.
My Smoothie of the Week Recipe: Healthy Salted Caramel Mocha Smoothie. You’re welcome.
In the meantime, I hope your week is a productive one but that you take some time for yourself to recharge when you need it. Don’t forget, the HappyPlaceClubChallenge has lots of inspiration for you to do that!
With much love,
Cori
